Family fun

We have had a busy yet relaxing vacation so far.
Some of the highlights have been...

Boating on Lake Dillon
We picked the perfect day for this. Sunny and warm and totally relaxing.

Introducing our nephews
We drove down and met my in-laws for dinner at The Chart House. Jim and I really wanted to get our nephews together since they are only 3 weeks apart and we knew they had a lot in common..a love for milk, an ability to pee their pants and get away with it and an incessant drooling problem. :) It was really sweet to see them together. Words really can't describe how much I love being an auntie. These two little guys are the chocolate chunks in my trail mix, the morning coffee in my mug, the butter on my toast, the cherry on my sundae and the ruffles on my shirt....sorry, I couldn't resist. :) It's just that I'm wearing a ruffly shirt right now. Shocker... I know.

"Hey dude. I like your stripes. Let's be besties."

The Frisco Parade
My mom, sister-in-law Kimberley and I took part in the Frisco parade on the 4th of July. We joined the "Queens of Frisco" who walk in the parade each year to promote breast cancer awareness. All of the ladies dress up in silly ball gowns and "fancy" garb and walk behind a car which blasts "I will Survive". We had a blast participating in this event and have decided we'll make this a yearly tradition. Oh and we also decided that next year we'll drink a little more champagne beforehand. :0

Whitewater rafting
We survived!!! I had never been whitewater rafting before and was a little nervous about going. Okay..I was a lot nervous but with a good amount of coaxing from the hubby I went and I'm so glad I did. We had a blast! My biggest fear was falling into the 40 degree water and 5 minutes into the trip two people on the boat in front of us fell in!!! After I witnessed this I decided I was going to do whatever it took to stay on the boat... hence the white knuckles and sore thighs. The rush you feel is so worth it though and the scenery was magnificent. I soo wished I could have brought my camera. Sorry..no pic for this one. :(

Taking pics
It is picture taking heaven up here and I can't seem to stop snapping photos. I have been super obsessed with taking pics of flowers. They are just too pretty not to. Below are some of my favorite shots so far..
