Photo Challenge Day 1-3
I decided to take part in a July photo challenge! It's a super fun way to challenge yourself to take pictures of things you normally wouldn't. I also like the idea of snapping a photo a day. Feel free to link up and join me! Even if you use a point and shoot or your cell phone...it's a fun way to get your creative juices flowing. :)
Here is the full list.
Day 1: Self-portrait. This is quite the challenging when you only have a 50mm fixed lens (which means it does not zoom out at all) Thanks goodness I have long arms. This is what I came up with. Same picture..two different edits.
This one has the more organic look that I generally like.
This one is a bit more funky and lots more edited.
Day 2: What you wore today. I never knew how awkward it was to have a picture taken of your whole outfit. Thanks mom for taking my picture. :)
And just in case you're at all interested..
Outfit sources from this picture..
jeans: Banana Republic (found on sale last year for $25!!!)
Cardigan: J.Crew.
white t-shirt: Target
necklace: J. Crew outlet
flip-flops: Tory Burch (a birthday present..I wear these almost every day...so comfy) Found at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Purse: Marshall's
Sunglasses: Gap Kids!!! Yep..these were apparently supposed to be kid's sunglasses. I guess it pays to have an oddly small head. They were $8!
Day 3: Clouds
Thanks goodness we are currently up in the mountains in Colorado. The clouds are just beautiful up here!!!
Hope you're all having a wonderful holiday weekend!! I'll be back soon with more photo challenge pictures as well as pictures from our time in Colorado!!
Happy Fourth of July!

Hey Erin....what filter settings do you use on your photos when you are editing them....they always look so great! I know you said you are using Photoshop Elements..
Hi Casaundra! Thanks so much! Sorry for the delayed response..I just now saw that I had a comment. I forget to check sometimes. :)
I primarily use actions because I am super lazy and because editing can be so time consuming. I LOVE the action sets from florabella and use them a lot. You can view/buy them at florabellacollections.com. After you buy them you load them into whatever editing software you use..in my case..photoshop elements. I have also googled "free actions" and have found a few freebies too. Hope that helps! We should take a photog class together. I still haven't taken one! xo
Thanks Erin! I will check it out. I would love to take a photog class...let me know if you hear of any!
